چکیده
The structural effectiveness of textile reinforced mortar (TRM) composites relies on their load transfer capacity to the substrate and interaction between mortar. bond plays a crucial role in mechanism TRM composites. Despite some recent investigations, deep understanding still needs be gained textile-to-mortar develop suitable analytical numerical predictive models, improve test methods, orient design criteria. This work describes laboratory study which pull-out tests were carried out investigate effect slip rate cyclic loading behaviour. Alkali-resistant glass fabric sgalvanised ultra-high tensile strength steel cords embedded two different lime-based mortars tested. response was sensitive strain at low rates. Cyclic produced degradation, reduced with number cycles.

The requirements on aircraft engine design have increased rapidly over the last decades. Future aircrafts engines are expected to be more efficient with lower operation costs and without compromising safety. Concerning the complex requirements for fan systems or fan containments, composite materials are able to fully avail their high potential with regard to a significant weight reduction and a...
متن کاملProduction of Banana Fiber Yarns for Technical Textile Reinforced Composites
Natural fibers have been used as an alternative to synthetic ones for their greener character; banana fibers have the advantage of coming from an agricultural residue. Fibers have been extracted by mechanical means from banana tree pseudostems, as a strategy to valorize banana crops residues. To increase the mechanical properties of the composite, technical textiles can be used as reinforcement...
متن کاملDevelopment of Textile Reinforced Composites for Aircraft Structures
NASA has been a leader in development of composite materials for aircraft applications during the past 25 years. In the early 1980’s NASA and others conducted research to improve damage tolerance of composite structures through the use of toughened resins but these resins were not costeffective. The aircraft industry wanted affordable, robust structures that could withstand the rigors of flight...
متن کاملStrengthening of Existing Bridge Structures for Shear and Bending with Carbon Textile-Reinforced Mortar
Increasing traffic loads and changes in code provisions lead to deficits in shear and flexural capacity of many existing highway bridges. Therefore, a large number of structures are expected to require refurbishment and strengthening in the future. This projection is based on the current condition of many older road bridges. Different strengthening methods for bridges exist to extend their serv...
متن کاملModels for Textile Composites Forming
INTRODUCTION Drape of dry fabrics or prepregs was recognised as an important feature in composites forming operations from the start. In the 1950s the first mathematical models were developed based on purely kinematic arguments. The assumption of zero fibre strains and trellis deformations led to the socalled fishnet approach. Typically, these methods require certain arbitrary constraints to re...
